South Portland police cancel BOLO alert for 'Elf on the Shelf' | News
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The South Portland Police Department has been keeping an eye out for a mischievous little elf named "The Elf on the Shelf."
Early Friday morning however, the police department canceled their 'BOLO' alert for Santa's "little helper." Thanks to the swift action of the K9 team, the "suspect," a notorious elf who has been reportedly entering homes and striking poses, in various levels of appropriateness, in the city has been apprehended, police report.
