Why sweet potatoes are good for you
  • Rich in beta-carotene, which is an important antioxidant.
  • Low in sodium.
  • Very low in saturated fat and cholesterol.
  • High in fiber. High intakes of dietary fiber may help lower the risk for developing coronary heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and certain gastrointestinal disorders.
