Chicken Hatch Part 1 | Blogs
Title (Max 100 Characters)
We acquired 6 fertile eggs from our neighbor! We moved our broody into the garage in a nice warm box with straw and a heat lamp. We hollowed out a nest for her and put the eggs into it. Then we placed her on top of the eggs. In about a minute she sat right down and seemed VERY happy! We also placed food and water in the box so she can have easy access to that. Ever since then she has been faithfully sitting on those eggs! We're so excited! It takes 21 days to incubate the eggs but we will know more in about 5 days when we candle the eggs. That is we shine a light through the egg to see if it is developing. More on that in the next post!
