Life is good Thanksgiving Event

We need your help decorating our store for the Holidays!

Join us at Life is good on November 20th to celebrate Thanksgiving by creating a "Thank you Chain." You will be able to write down or draw what you are thankful for, or a good deed that you have done, on a strip of paper.  We will assemble them into a festive chain that will hang in our store.  How long can we make it!

We will also be holding a food drive to benefit the Good Shepard Food Bank.  Non-perishable food items will be collected on that day and will be brought to the Portland warehouse.

Kid friendly with coloring, popcorn, stickers, and balloons.

Don't forget, we accept donations to our Life is good Kids Foundation at the store.  Lets see how much we can raise this holiday season.  Hope to see you there.

Third Annual Eco Options Christmas Light trade In

WHAT: The third annual Eco Options Christmas Light Trade In event allows consumers to bring in their old, non-working Christmas light strings to be recycled and receive a $3 off coupon towards the purchase of energy efficient seasonal light-emitting diodes (LED) string lights.  Customers must purchase their new LED lights between November 4 and November 14 and are limited to five redemptions.

LED lights are shown to use 80 percent less electricity than standard mini lights and last up to 10 times longer.  This holiday season, The Home Depot will carry traditional white and multi-colored ENERGY STAR® qualified LED lights that offer superior connectivity-allowing consumers to link up to 87 strands (or one-quarter mile) of lights without fear of overloading a circuit.  There are even more great choices in LED holiday lights with the introduction of Martha Stewart Living and EcoSmart LED light strands, both available exclusively at The Home Depot.

Treat #5 - How To Win The Costume Contest

This is an entry in our HALLoween Blog series. Each week leading up to Halloween 2010 we will treat you with internet marketing topics that have a fun and spooky flare.

The kids with the best costumes get the most and best candy, you all knew that, right?

I’ve had some pretty conventional costumes for halloween growing up. The obligatory pumpkin as a baby, the typical vampire as an 8 year old, Ghostbusters at SOME point in the '90s…I can’t remember. Usually, I would wait a day before Halloween and then figure out what I would want to have for a costume. Clearly, wasn’t very prepared and didn’t have much of a strategy. This is probably why I didn’t win any contests at parties.

Having a conventional website is a lot like having a bad costume.
