Open House and Celebration of Life

Our Cancer Institute is holding a celebration of life and open house of its newly-renovated facilities tomorrow. Well over 400 people have responded to our invitation.

Dr. Eric Larsen, medical director, will offer a few remarks; Stephanie Freedman, RN, survivor and clinical patient navigator, will read her original poem, "I Am Here"; Oncologist Dr. Tracey Weisberg will talk about efforts to enhance support for survivors; and survivor Ann Forest will share her story of overcoming cancer.

We’ll have self-guided tours of our the facilities. Physicians and staff will host 11 suites where visitors can see the improved care settings, meet our team members, and learn about the quality care provided. Guests taking the tour will be given a passport, which they’ll have stamped at each site. Completed passports will go into a drawing for a Kindle at the end of the program.
