Diane Dusini of Scarborough, a divorce lawyer and president elect of the Maine State Bar Association, will be honored April 11 at the annual dinner of the Maine Law Alumni Association.

Dusini graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 1987. She will receive the Alumni Association’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her significant contributions to the legal profession and her longstanding support of the law school.

A native of Keene, N.H., Dusini began her career as a tax lawyer, and later focused on family law, specifically the tax and business implications of divorce. She is a partner at the firm of MittelAsen LLC in Portland. Dusini is certified by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts as a Certified Divorce Planner and is listed in “Best Lawyers in America.”

Dusini has served as President of the Maine Law Alumni Association, as a Class Agent, and as a participant in the law school’s Mentor-Mentee Program. Dusini also has served as an adjunct professor at Maine Law, teaching family law to the next generation of lawyers. Dusini and her family have established the Philip M. Dusini Scholarship Fund, to provide help to Maine Law students with financial need.
