Is PPC a Good Safety Net for Panda Updates?

Panda, Panda, Panda… Pandas haunt me again*.

Local Band You've Got To See: Griffin Sherry and The Ghost of Paul Revere- TONIGHT

Local Band You've Got To See: Griffin Sherry and The Ghost of Paul Revere- TONIGHT

Griffin Sherry and The Ghost of Paul Revere: the way live music should be.

Griffin Sherry and The Ghost of Paul Revere are an acoustic/americana/soul group that will serenade you with the harmonies of "White Blank Page," by Mumford and Sons, and their own version of Snoop Dogg's, "Gin and Juice." However, it is their original songs that will have you hooked. Friends since they were 5 years-old, and playing together for almost a decade, Griffin Sherry and The Ghost of Paul Revere write artful music and inspiring lyrics. "Let me be your hunger pains, coursing through you pretty veins," is just a taste of my favorite song "Great White North."  You'll also hear "Soul of a Lion," and "Grandpa's Chair," tonight.

The intimate setting of Dogfish Bar & Grille on Free st., Portland, hosts Griffin Sherry and The Ghost of Paul Revere, every third Thursday of the month.

The Mariners' Bumpy Ride

In 2007, the Seattle Mariners went 88-75 and finished second in the AL West, 6 1/2 games off the division and wild card paces.

In 2008, they added Erik Bedard, and with Felix Hernandez now 22 and ready to pitch 200 big league innings, they went 61-101 and finished 39 games behind the Angels.

Revisiting Rotations

Back in late April, eager to put my newly-minted Season Score metric to use, I ranked starting rotations based on each team’s best 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 starters. Two months later, Season Scores are based on a much larger body of work (healthy pitchers have made 14-16 starts) and may help us more accurately determine which teams have the best rotations.

New Places to Explore with your Dog!

New Places to Explore with your Dog!

As the owner of two adult Labs who love off-leash romps, I'm always on the prowl for new places to take them where they can enjoy woods, ponds and open fields to their hearts' content.  I've also recently started a Ride & Romp Hiking Program for the small adult dogs who attend Dances With Dogs for day care.  Over the next couple of weeks, I will share some information on some of our favorite places to play, hike and explore.

A hidden treasure exists about 4-5 miles out on Broadturn Road in Scarborough called Fuller Farm.  This 180-acre tract of farm, field and woodland is managed by Scarborough's Land Conservation Trust and is open to people and dogs year round.  There's a small dirt parking area and a kiosk with trail information at the trail head, and you enter the property via a deep field of rolling grass and wild flowers.

Making Old Cookie Content New Again

Making Old Cookie Content New Again

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the ABSTRACT: The Future of Design in Media Conference, right here in Portland, Maine. I have pages and pages of notes to go through but there was one point that reminded me of something Jenika and I talk to clients about all the time – making old content new again.
