Maine filmed and produced web series, Ragged Isle, to debut on March 9th - SNEAK PREVIEW EVENT March 5

(Portland, Maine) – The Entertainment Experiment is excited to debut the first episode of its original web series: Ragged Isle on

Ragged Isle is a dramatic story set on a remote Maine island shrouded in mystery. Drawing inspiration from such cult classics as The X-Files, Twin Peaks, and the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows, Ragged Isle has been crafted with genre fans in mind. Barry Dodd, co-founder of The Entertainment Experiment and Ragged Isle director says, “This project is unlike anything you’ve previously seen produced in the state. It’s not the first web series done here in Maine but I believe it is certainly groundbreaking in tone and scale.”

All are invited on March 5th for a sneak preview prior to the web release.  Join us at the Ragged Isle Premiere Party live at Geno’s Rock Club in Portland, Maine. This will be the first time the public will get to see our premiere episode and we’re looking to kick things off with a bang! Those attending will also be shown a special sneak preview of the entire first season. Most of the cast and crew will be in attendance that night as well so it’s a great chance to experience the series with the folks that made it happen.

Ragged Isle not only features some of the best and brightest actors in the state but also some fantastic local musicians. A sampling of this talent will perform LIVE during the party. On the bill for the night is a diverse cross section of music from the Southern Maine music scene, all of which are connected to Ragged Isle. Performers include Selbyville, Robber & Thief, The Lucid, Confusatron and The Lodge.

Featuring an expected cast of over 30 talented local actors and over 20 picturesque Maine locations, Ragged Isle is an ambitious project as anything seen in an online series. Season One is comprised of 10 episodes – with a new installment premiering weekly starting March 9th, 2011. Each episode is approximately ten minutes in length. The series is designed to play like a mini television series, streamlined specifically for a web audience. ??Principal photography for Season Two will begin during the summer of 2011, with a target release of early 2012.
