Cumberland Concert Sat May 19, Touring Ensemble of the Maine Gay Men's Chorus

The 7-voice Touring Ensemble of the Maine Gay Men’s Chorus (MGMC) will present As Long As You Love Me, with a new line-up of songs including an a cappella arrangement of Toto's "Africa", and the premier performances of a new song: "My House" is a delightful gem about first love. New arrangements of several songs make use of guitar, bass, keyboard, violin, and even a bright blue glockenspiel, all played by members of the ensemble. The Touring Ensemble sings to fulfill the chorus mission of spreading the message of social acceptance and diversity.

The ensemble desires to give back to its host audience: admission by donation will be split between the Touring Ensemble and the church (suggested donation $10). The ensemble will also hold a 50/50 raffle for those who wish to participate, and MGMC's Music CDs will be available for purchase. On March 19 support both the Congregational Church in Cumberland UCC and Maine’s only gay-identified chorus (founded 1992), and experience a fun-filled evening of music from the heart.
