BIDDEFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police in Biddeford say they have arrested a 75-year-old-man on drug charges.

John J. Moschos, who lives in an apartment on Sullivan Street, was arrested there on Thursday and charged with possession of a schedule drug and possession of marijuana. The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency assisted in the arrest.

Investigators say Moschos hid cocaine, hydrocodone and vicodin in a cut-out section of a telephone directory. Police say he also kept marijuana joints in an Altoid mint container.

Biddeford Police say Moschos was selling drugs to other tenants in his apartment building, as well as walk-in customers.

"Illegal drug sales, illegal furnishing and whatever knows no age group," said Biddeford Police Chief Roger Beaupre.  "Just like crime knows no age group.  It is not divided by socioeconomic lines, it is not divided by anything, it is that these things do happen from time to time."

He is scheduled to be in court on February 23.
